Egypt: Armed Forces Foil Terrorist Operation in Rafah

Armed Forces elements positioned in Sinai managed on Monday 7/1/2013 to thwart a possible terrorist operation in Rafah.

The Armed Forces said that three of its patrols spotted two suspicious vehicles in an area located between Rafah Church and military barracks still under construction and when army soldiers approached them one of the two vehicles, boarding a group of masked men, sped off.

Searching of other vehicle, the army soldiers seized four sacks of TNT, two automatic weapons, two magazines, 50 bullets, five electric detonators, RPG and an RPG projectile.
