Liberia: Wheh Town Residents to Elect New Corps Soon - Sayeh Calls for Unity

Residents of Wheh Town in Paynesville City, Montserrado County, will on January 16, 2013 go to the polls to elect a new corps of officers.

According to the Chairman of the elections commission, the elected leadership will be charged with the responsibility to steer the affairs of the community. The two candidates vying for the position of Chairmanship include: Cyrus M. Sayeh and Thomas Hineh.

Residents in the community interviewed by our reporter spoke highly of one of the candidates in the person of Mr. Cyrus M. Sayeh, whom they referred to as being their favorite based on his numerous contributions to development in that area.

In his campaign trail, Mr. Sayeh promised the residents of a modern clinic to tackle the health care delivery system needs of the district.

Also another candidate, Thomas Hineh, who is vying for a position, thanked his supporters, through his proxy, urging them to be unified and law-abiding during the electoral process.
