Barentu — The NUEYS branch in Gash-Barka region has called on students to enhance their academic competence on the basis of judicious utilization of the educational opportunity accorded them at government expenditure.

It made the call in meetings conducted in various sub-zones during which participants conducted discussion as regards ways and means of reinforcing academic activities vis-à-vis sports and arts clubs.

Mr. Zerisenai Tesfai, head of the NUEYS branch in the region, said that now is the right time to work for a bright future, and thereby recompense their parents and the nation.

The students on their part put forth views pertaining to various issues, including the vitality of regular seminars in raising their awareness as regards State affairs.
