Residents of Isiolo town yesterday demonstrated against the "untimely" discharge of a 12-year-old orphan from the Isiolo District Hospital.

The hospital management allegedly dumped the boy, who had been admitted on Sunday, under a tree in Kulamawe Estate saying there was no one to take care of him.

Hundreds of residents who had watched a government vehicle dump the child took to the street threatening to sue the government for negligence.However, Hussein Jama, a hospital official, dismissed claims that the boy had been admitted to the facility.
