Kenya: NGO Helps Out Women's Group

TURBO An NGO donated 30 goats to Eldoret North Women's Group at the weekend. Speaking in a ceremony at Tapsagoi trading centre in Turbo, Pambazuka CEO Jennifer Chirchir urged the women to use the goats to become economically independent.
"We have stepped in to help the group realise its objectives of creating better living conditions," she said. The donation is part of a campaign to help women become self-reliant.
