Teachers and an aspirant in Bomet have criticised Knut national chair announcement that the union will support Chepalungu MP Isaac Rutto for governor.
"The decision centre on selfish interest and does not represent that of teachers in the county. As teachers we are free to decide at individual level who to vote and not even our national chairman will make the decision for us despite the due respect we have for him," said the teachers in a statement to the press yesterday.
Former Chepalungu MP John Koech said Sossion should let the people of Bomet decide who to elect."Bomet teachers were not foolish to choose who was best suited to be the governor for a man like Sossion to come and make personal decisions in the name of teachers," Koech told the Star on the phone.
