Uganda: Ndagire Gives Her Cast a Treat

Marian Ndagire under her Trendz Studio hosted all her actors for a dinner that saw those with talent showcasing it.

The party held at Red Nite Pub at Bat Valley theatre on Thursday had the likes of Annet Nandujja, Herbert Nsubuga, Sarah Naava, Ann Marie Nattabi, Farida Nnabagereka and Male Musa among others. These people have featured in movies like Where We Belong, Hearts in Pieces, Strength of a Stranger and Tendo Sisterz among others.

They also included participants of The Next Music Icon where 2011 winner Rebecca Nanziri entertained the guests. They all walked away with gifts, save for one whose gift hamper was empty but was later compensated. According to Annet Nakamya an administrator at Trendz Studio, the dinner was a way of thanking members for a wonderful year.

"You have been wonderful and we pray that you double your efforts this year to make Trendz Studio a global name and to improve the movie and music industry in Uganda," said Nakamya.

Meanwhile Ndagire has been contracted by Mnet Africa to write for them movies. Her biggest worry is that she will not get a chance to premiere them to her local audiences, but at least she has moved a step further.
