Nigeria: ACN Chieftain Backs Call for Oteh's Sack

Lagos — National Vice Chairman, South West, of Action Congress of Nigeria, Tajudeen Olusi, has urged President Goodluck Jonathan to heed the call of the House of Representatives to sack the Director-General of Securities and Exchange Commission, SEC, Ms. Arunma Oteh.

Olusi, who made the call in an interview yesterday, said since the lawmakers were duly elected as the representatives of Nigerians, their call for Oteh's sack as the helmsman of SEC was a call by over 150 million Nigerians as well.

He said: "The institution that remains the representatives and voice of the people for all time is the legislature. And so, whenever a pronouncement is made by that body, it has to be respected by all of us."
