Abuja — FORMER Deputy National Chairman, Progressive Peoples Alliance, PPA, Alhaji Adamu Song , Tuesday said that if the problem of insecurity must be addressed in Nigeria, we must as a nation stop shifting blame.
Answering question, Tuesday, in Abuja at the National Summit on Security Challenges in Nigeria organised by the Nigeria Police Force, NPF and Vanguard Newspaper, the former National leader of Alliance for Democracy, AD said, " Security in Nigeria has seriously deteriorated like the former IGP, Alhaji Gambo Jimeta has said, it is not the problem of today, it is a problem that has been piling for over a period of time.

"The only way out is for us to stop shifting the blame, we should accept and work towards resolving it in the understanding that issue of security is a collective responsibility of everyone, everybody and everybody has a role to play.
"The government should set their priorities right, the issue of funding security should not only be on the newspapers, they should go a step ahead to ensure that the actual disbursement of fund was done properly."
