Johannesburg — Behavior, physical condition, technical, tactical and level of interaction during the stage are the main reasons the decision of the 23 players selected for CAN 2013 happening from 19 January to February 10 in South Africa.
Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday in Johannesburg, the national coach Gustavo Ferrin said the players have had salutary performance since December, in Lubango city, Huila province (Angola), the first stage of preparation.
"We had enough time to get to know the players well. We had healthy living, but someone had to go. If it were up to me everyone would be, but there are limitations as we were forced to make this decision. I apologize, but this was my decision", he explained.
Asked if the game against Zambia had influenced in the choice of the players, the coach of the national team said it was just a game, because there were several situations already announced that determined the choice.
Angola shares group A together with South Africa, Cape Verde and Marrocos.
