The Nigerian Navy yesterday announced the redeployment of 224 senior officers across the country.
A statement by its spokesman, Commodore Kabir Aliyu, stated that those redeployed were 49 Rear Admirals, 106, Commodores and 69 Captains.
Former Chairman, Military Pensions Board, Rear Admiral Bala Mohammed Mshelia is now the Chief of Accounts and Budget, Naval Headquarters while Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Naval Command Rear Admiral O. B Ogunjimi is now the Chief of Training and Operations, Naval Headquarters.
Former Chief of Policy and Plans, Naval Headquarters Rear Admiral J. B Oladimeji was transferred to the Defence Headquarters as Chief of Administration while Rear Admiral J. N Amaino, Admiral Superintendent, Naval Dockyard was moved to Naval Headquarters as Director of Marine Engineering. Former Chief of Training and Operations, Naval Headquarters Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ogbor is the new Chief of Policy and Plans, Naval Headquarters.
Other Rear Admirals transferred included D. B Boer, former Admiral Superintendent, Naval Shipyard, Port Harcourt now Admiral Superintendent, Naval Dockyard, Lagos, U. O Jibrin, formally Chief of Logistics, Naval Headquarters now Director Of Training, Defence Headquarters, K. O Komolafe, formally Chief of Accounts and Budget now Group Managing Director, Nigerian Navy Holdings, O. E Ekwe, former Commandant, Nigerian Navy Engineering College, Sapele now Admiral Superintendent, Naval Shipyard Port Harcourt, A. O. A Ikioda, former Flag Officer Commanding, Western Naval Command now Moderator, National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru and S. A Orie former Director of Curriculum and Programme Development, National Defence College, Abuja now MD, Nigerian Navy Engineering Services Support Company Ltd.
Former Deputy Commandant, AFCSC Jaji Rear Admiral D. O Osuofa has been transferred to the Defence Intelligence Agency as Director of Logistics, Rear Admiral J. O Aikhomu, former Chief of Naval Standard and Evaluation now Flag Officer Commanding, Eastern Naval Command while Navy Secretary, Rear Admiral I. E Ibas was moved to Western Naval Command as Flag Officer Commanding.
