Kenya: Tension High in Mathare Slums

Tension is still high in Nairobi's Mathare slums following an overnight incident in which a man was killed and 20 houses torched in suspected retaliatory attacks. The incident happened after a police swoop saw about 12 suspects arrested.
According to reports from the Kenya Red Cross, violence between two communities has erupted in the area.Scores of houses have also been burnt down in Mathare's 3c area in what is suspected to be an arson attack.
Meanwhile the death toll from yesterday's attack has risen to two after one more person who was amongst five victims stabbed during yesterday's incident succumbed to his injuries this morning.
