Kenya: Tana Clashes Update

Members of a rival community in the ongoing Tana clashes raided their neighbours in Nduru village, setting houses on fire and hacking to death the occupants (file photo).

Tension is high in Tana River's Nduru village following renewed clashes that took place early this morning. Eight people have been confirmed dead and 24 others injured have rushed to Malindi district hospital. Nelly Muluka from the Red Cross says they will give a detailed assessment of the situation in the course of the day.
