Tunisia: Success of Democratic Transition Process in Nation Requires Freedom of Press - RSF S-G

Carthage — The situation of the media in Tunisia during the transition period and the need to enshrine freedom of expression in the future constitution were discussed at a meeting held Tuesday in Carthage by Caretaker President Moncef Marzouki and Secretary-General of Reporters without Borders (RSF) Christophe Deloire and Director of the RSF office in Tunis Olivia Gray.

"To make the democratic process in Tunisia a success, freedom of press and media independence must be preserved," S-G of the RSF was quoted as saying in a Presidency statement.
