Recently, President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf extended a congratulatory message to the Government and People of Qatar as they observed their National Day. In her message to Sheik Hamad Bin Khalifah Al Thani, Head of State of Qatar, President Johnson-Sirleaf conveyed heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on behalf of Liberia to the people of Qatar.

She said that the people of Liberia were exceedingly delighted to join the friendly people of the State of Qatar in celebrating this historic occasion. The Liberian Leader hoped and prayed that the two countries will continue to further cement and nourish the cordial relationship subsisting between both nations. She further prayed that the Almighty God will grant the Leader of Qatar with abundant wisdom and continued good health as he steers his country through peace, unity and prosperity.
