Kenya: Afro Fusion Singer Barbara Guantai Thrills

Barbara Guantai burst on to the scene in 2002 when she was recognised as the best singer at a local star search. The sultry singer has since then gone on to be one of Kenya's best vocal talents lending her voice to several albums as well as her own.

The Choices club on Baricho Road in Nairobi this past Thursday hosted Guantai during its weekly Thursday Night Live performance. Guantai gave a three hour performance of well loved hits from around the continent as well as some of her own compositions with her band.

In spite of it being the first week of the year the event was well attended.
