Kenya: Fountain Media Launches in Nairobi

Many say that all news is bad news and the Kenyan media scene is awash with media outlets that spend too much time focusing on these negative angles.

A new media organisation called Fountain Media was recently launched at a gala at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi to address this need for more positive and uplifting content.

The new company is a subsidiary of the Fountain Enterprise Programme which has former PC and Nacada boss Joseph Kaguthi as chairman and John Kithaka as CEO. The CEO of the new outfit is former talk show host Wavinya Mugofwa and it promises to use the Bible as one of its guides in reporting in various media including print, electronic and public relations.

The well attended gala saw a host of individuals from corporations, civil society and government in attendance.
