Kenya: Parents Back Scrapping of KCPE Examination

A SECTION of parents in Nyanza have supported the proposed scrapping of KCPE examination saying they should be replaced by continuous assessment tests.

Nyanza counties Parents' Association chairman Jackson Ogweno said the examination system not only halts the student's progress if they do not pass, it also makes them relax.

"Continuous assessment tests will keep pupils on their toes since it is not a one-off like the national exams," he said
