Madagascar: More Houses Torched in the Tana

Members of a rival community in the ongoing Tana clashes raided their neighbours in Nduru village, setting houses on fire and hacking to death the occupants (file photo).
The death toll after attacks by more than 100 militia in SemuKaro and Nduru Village in the Tana Delta has risen to nine with over 10 injured today. Mwanaisha Hamisi from the Red Cross says eleven houses were burnt in the afternoon and
locals are fleeing their homes in fear of retaliatory attacks.
