Tunisia: Council of Europe Reaffirms Support to Tunisia

Council of Europe Deputy Secretary General Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni reiterated Europe's support for democratic processes in Tunisia, TAP reported on Wednesday (January 9th).

"The Council of Europe is ready to develop its co-operation with Tunisia in legal matters, notably in matters of disseminating the culture of human rights, protection of women's and children's rights and fight against torture," Battaini-Dragoni said.

Battaini-Dragoni and Foreign Minister Rafik Abdessalem signed an agreement on the opening of an office in Tunis.
