Nigeria: Kogi to Partner Police in Crime Prevention

Kogi State Government has restated its readiness to support the Nigerian Police Force in combating crime and criminality in the State.

The pledge was made by Capt Idris Wada,Kogi State Governor at a National Summit on Security Challenges in Nigeria with the theme: Addressing Nigeria's Security Challenges for Sustainable Peace and development, held in Abuja.

In a statement issued in Lokoja, the Kogi State Governor, who was represented by his deputy, Yomi Awoniyi at the occasion, noted that the country is currently witnessing several dimensions of security challenges which he attributed to neglect of the various agencies, saddled with the maintenance law and order over the years.
