Johannesburg — The coach of the Angolan national senior males football team, the Uruguayan Gustavo Ferrin, on Tuesday in Johannesburg assured that his 23 players are ready for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) of South Africa, which is scheduled to start on January 19.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, the coach informed that the players are in good shape.

The coach was answering the journalists' question regarding the physical condition of his players, mainly Djalma, who joined the squad from Turkey's Kasimpasa with a slight injury.

"Djalma is an excellent player and I've always counted on him just as much as the others, that is why he has been called up. I have medical guarantee that he will be 100 per cent fine so I am not going to drop him", he assured.

The Sable Antelopes (Angola squad), who are in group A, will start the African championship in the Soccer City Stadium, in Johannesburg, on January 19.
