Angola: Official Suggests Implementation of Cultural Activities in Schools

Saurimo — The deputy governor for social policy of Lunda Sul, João Baptista Manassas, suggested today in Saurimo, the implementation of cultural activities in schools in order to continue the enhancement and safeguarding the habits and customs of the people.

Speaking at the ceremony that marked the celebrations of the National Culture Day, he said that only with the involvement and contribution of there can maintained Cokwe culture.

He appealed to businessmen and cultural agents to continue to support local artists and musicians, so that they can spread the Angolan culture and in particular Cokwe inside and outside the country.
