Tunis — President Moncef Marzouki had talks, on Wednesday, with heads of several political parties.
Nidaa Tounes (Call of Tunisia) President Béji Caid Essebsi asserted in a statement to the press, that the meeting had been "serious and beneficial."
"It turned on the current situation in Tunisia and means to get out of it," he pointed out without giving further specifications.
Al-Moubadara (initiative) Party President Kamel Morjane said for his part, that President Marzouki had assured him that he is "against exclusion," and that "it is impossible to admit that an entire group is being excluded."
Mr. Morjane voiced wish that a national dialogue will be held as soon as possible to find out solutions for the country's problems.
"The situation is difficult and it is the responsibility of everyone to co-operate in service of Tunisia's interest," he estimated.
The President of the Republic also conferred with Maya Jribi and Ahmed Nejib Chebbi (Republican Party) and Mohamed Bennour (Ettakatol) who did not give statements.
