Tunisia: 'Ennahdha Supports President Marzouki's Call for National Dialogue Without Exclusion' - Ghannouchi

Carthage — The "Ennahdha" Movement supports President Moncef Marzouki's call for a national dialogue bringing together all parties and likely to achieve consensus on the date of the next elections," Leader of Ennahdha Rached Ghannouchi said after his meeting, Wednesday, with Mr. Marzouki.

With regard to the possible participation of Nidaa Tounes in this national dialogue, Mr. Ghannouchi said "We are in favor of a national dialogue that will gather all the political family in Tunisia without exclusion."

"This dialogue will address all issues of concern to the country at this stage so as to ease tension and develop a roadmap to hold elections as soon as possible," he added, stressing that "free and fair elections are possible only if there is national consensus."

The national dialogue "will pave the way for holding free and fair elections and getting out of the transition stage."
