Angola: Elias Dya Kimuezu Calls for Support to Record Best Hits

Luanda — The Angolan veteran musician Elias Francisco José, artistically known as Elias Dya Kimuezu, admitted Wednesday in Luanda having financial difficulties to record his latest album in honour of his more than 50 years of artistic career.

Speaking to ANGOP, the singer said that he is searching for sponsorship to record two albums, in which he will include hits of the past.

Despite the difficulties, he hopes to receive positive answers from state and private entities, to receive sponsorship and fulfil his project.

Elias Dya Kimuezu, 71, is often regarded as the "King of Angolan Music". He sings mainly songs in the Semba, Rumba and Bolero genres.
