Egypt: Cabinet Approves Forming Ministerial Working Groups to Handle Pressing Issues

The Cabinet agreed at its weekly session on Wednesday 9/1/2013 under Prime Minister Hisham Qandil on the formation of working ministerial groups to handle important and vital issues, devise plans for the implementation of national projects and accomplish the aspired targets in line with specific timetables.

Also, the Cabinet probed ways to raise the efficiency of the State apparatuses, increase production and accelerate growth rates.

It also reviewed steps to establish a higher legislative committee to be in charge of studying laws and legislation that need to be introduced to complement the new Constitution.

Qandil will chair the committee which will group members of the Shura Council's Legislative Affairs Committee and leading legal experts and prominent figures. The Justice Minister will be the committee's deputy chairman.
