Gambia: ISFD Awards TIU Secretary General

Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD), in collaboration with Jebbah Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on Sunday awarded a Certificate of Appreciation to Alhagie Abdou Sarr, the secretary general of the Tallinding Islamic Union (TIU), for his hardwork and dedication to duty. The award ceremony was held at Sarr Kunda in Lamin village.

Speaking at the event, Alhaji Demba Sanyang, the Paramount Chief of The Gambia, said that the award was not a surprise to him, describing Abdou as a hardworking and trustworthy person.

For his part, Abdou Sarr thanked the Almighty Allah, his family, co-workers and neighbours for their support. Sarr informed that the award came through his co-workers, who always commended him for his dedication to duty.

Famara Camara, a member of the Tallinding Islamic Union, thanked ISFD for the wonderful job they are doing in Africa; building mosques and schools, helping the poor and the needy.
