Kenya: One Killed, Three Injured in Collapsed Building

A sombre mood engulfed Maili Saba Catholic church in Kitale after a classroom collapsed and killed a constructor on the spot.

Kitale OCPD James Kimani said Zachariah Juma died after sustaining fatal injuries on the head in the incident that occured on Tuesday at the church's school.

He said three others who were seriously injured are recuperating at Cherangany Nursing Home. This is the second construction related death and Kimani asked builders to adhere to building requirements so as to curb the occurrence of such incidences.
