Eritrea: Awareness a Stepping Stone to National, Cultural Values - Youths

Elabered — Youths in Elabered sub-zone said that awareness is a stepping stone to bequeathing national and cultural values. They made the remark at a meeting conducted with the inhabitants.

Pointing out that national pride and common objective are among the special attributes of the Eritrean youth, Mr. Awelkier Ibrahim from the NUEYS branch in Anseba region called on the citizenry to enhance endeavors as regards nurturing such values.

Mr. Meharena Tekleab, Administrator of Eden semi-urban center, called on the youths to equip themselves with knowledge and skills on the basis of prudent utilization of the opportunities accorded them at government and community expenses, and thus build a bright future and play their part in the nation-building process. Furthermore, Mr. Hamd Yacob, head of the NUEYS branch in Elabered subz-one, indicated that the Union is strengthening endeavors in this regard.

A total of 25 women who obtained training in hairdressing graduated on that occasion, and stated that the training is a springboard to improvement of their livelihood, reports added.
