Stanbic Bank and Umeme's counters continued to record more volumes of traded shares today amid zero trading on the other 13 counters of companies listed on the Ugandan stock market, according to the Uganda Securities Exchange (USE) market report released on Jan. 10.
Stanbic traded 158, 665 shares at a turnover of 3million, amid a flat share price of Sh20, compared to zero traded shares yesterday (Jan. 9).
Umeme recorded a turnover of Sh61million on its daily busy counter after trading 225, 200 shares, at a flat share price of Sh275.
The Jan. 10 market turnover doubled to 65million up from 35million, a day earlier.
Other counters like Baroda, DFCU, NIC, NVL, and UCL recorded only outstanding offers and bids. The week's trading closes tomorrow, Jan. 11 at mid-day.
