Kenya: School Closures During Nominations to be Decided

Schools will know tomorrow if they will close on Jan 17th when parties are expected to conduct nominations. Registrar of Political Parties Lucy Ndung'u will hold a meeting with stakeholders over the matter tomorrow.
Education minister Mutula Kilonzo says he will request for the date to be pushed to the weekend but says if doesn't go through then they will find ways of ensuring the lost time is compensated for. Mutula says the the IEBC has opted to use schools for the exercise.
