Angola: Spreading of Gospel Helps Curb Alcoholism - Church Authority

Luanda — The secretary general of the Baptist Convention Church of Angola, Alexandre Chilanda Thursday in Luanda stressed the importance of spreading the gospel in the communities, due its role in the fight against alcoholism.

Alexandre Chilanda was speaking to Angop on the sidelines of the 3rd Congress of Missions, which gathers religious leaders from the United States, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Namibia and Sao Tome and Principe.

He said that the work prepares the young people to better serve the family, church and the country.

The event takes place at the premises of the headquarters of the Baptist Convention of Angola and also discusses issues related to the creativity of missionaries to self-sustainability of missions."
