Nigeria: 2013 Will Yield Fruits in Abia - Gov Orji

Abuja — Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State has said that the toils and struggles to get Abia out of the woods will start yielding fruits this year.

According to him, there is a time to plant and a time to get yields.

The governor's Special Adviser on Public Communication, Mr. Ben Onyechere, in a statement yesterday in Abuja, said: 'This year is going to produce many ripe fruits in Abia, whether our detractors like it or not. My government inherited a decapitated economy and bad blood created by the past administration.

"In the past year, our detractors had mischievously tried in vain attempts to cast aspersions on the state's ability to reverse the trend of spell left by their sponsor but rather than pay attention to their nefarious vituperations, we dug in to our promises to re-invent Abia State by laying foundation of land mark projects since castles are not built in the air or media houses.
