Namibia: Fallen Football Heroes to Be Honoured

OLD rivals Russian Eleven and Dream Team will play a match at the Katutura Youth Complex in memory of their former teammates tomorrow.

Russian Eleven is a team from the old Damara Location area while the Dream Team hails from Nama Location.

Russian Eleven plan to honour the late Doc Naomab, Charles //Gowaseb, Gerhardt !Oaheb and Bruce Geingob.

In turn the Dream Team will remember former heroes including Jackey Gamadab, Ones Williams and Lukas Orr.

The match will kick of at 16h00, but the gates will be open from 10h00 to allow supporters to socialise.

Russian Eleven will be represented by the following players: Mabos Ortman, Jakes Naomab, Albert Eiseb (Captain), Randy Gonteb, Mans Xoagub, Lucky Kakuva, Hoko Kasibu, Romes Bock, Zabans Namaseb, Nado Auseb, Ludwig Hoebeb and Marius Auseb.

The Dream Team will consist of: Lolo Goraseb, Barracks Danster, Doctor Frederick, Ruka Isaacks, Page Ananias, Dave Elago, Masebo Dausab, Shorty Shovaleka and Jeffrey Roman.

The winning team will receive a floating trophy and medals. All soccer lovers are invited, especially those who know the history of the two teams.

Entrance is free of charge and refreshments will be available for sale.
