Zambia: Livingstone By-Election Set for February 28

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has set February 28, this year as the date for the Livingstone Parliamentary by-elections.

The Livingstone by-election would take place on the same date as the Mpongwe by-elections.

The seats fell vacate following the resignation of Howard Sikwela as UPND Livingstone area Member of Parliament and Gabriel Namulambe as Mpongwe MMD MP.

Nine ward elections would also be conducted in Livingstone, ECZ public relations manager Chris Akufuna has said.
