Nigeria: Borno to Construct Five Mini Stadia

Maiduguri — Borno State Government will Construct five mini stadia this year. The stadia will be located in Jere, Gubio, Hawul, Askira/Uba and Kukawa Local Government Areas.

Governor Kashim Shettima said government will this year intensify efforts in the provision of modern sporting facilities and infrastructures to enhance training of sportsmen and women in the State.

He said sport is one of the sectors that can positively engage the youth and provide employment opportunities for them.

In his 2013 budget presentation to the State House of Assembly, Shettima said N3.5 billion will be spent on sports development.
