Tunisia: Al-Massar for Organising National Congress of All Political Parties - Ahmed Brahim

Carthage — Al-Massar (the Democratic and Social Path) supports the organisation, as soon as possible, of a national congress gathering all political parties, National Secretary of the Party Ahmed Brahim said on Thursday.

At the end of his meeting with President Moncef Marzouki, he specified that this congress which will gather all social players, including the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT), should reach concrete consensus about the country's crucial issues.

In this regard, Mr. Ahmed Brahim called all political players to avoid controversies and organise this congress at the earliest opportunity, to find a compromise about posed issues, notably the elections' date which, he specified, "should be set after consultation with the Independent Higher Authority for the Elections."
