Ghana: Ave Youth Congratulate Hon. Doe E.k Adjaho - Tony Quist

On behalf of Ave youth, in one of the newly created districts, Akatsi north in the Volta region, and on my own behalf, I extend to you warm congratulations on your election as Speaker of Parliament.

Your resounding victory demonstrates the confidence which the people of Ghana and members in the parliament have reposed in you and your able leadership. It is a tribute to the courage and dignity of members in the parliament house, in putting the traumatic past behind them and rallying round your call to renew and rebuild a great Ghana through your new office as Speaker of Parliament.

The peaceful elections have reinforced the foundations on which the modern Ghana nation is anchored underpinned by the rule of law, national cohesion and commitment to a progressive democratic order of society. Ghana's recovery and reconstruction trend is evident in the vibrant economic activity, expansion of democratic space and popular participation that should be sustained.

There is need for all the people and all the social forces of Ghana to come together in unequivocal resolve to always take their country forward, and never a step backwards, in consolidating the gains of democratic and good governance that will take your great and resourceful country to even greater heights of achievement.

Once again, I congratulate you, Hon Doe E.K. Adjaho and we look forward to continue to work closely with you, in our common cause of Ghana's progress and contribution to West African regional integration and development. We the youth of Ave, we say we love you and we are proud of you.
