Gambia: Singateh, Mam Balla Set for Europe Tour

Two of Senegambia's finest sensations are currently preparing for what could be described as another music electrifying project in their determination to better promote their career to their fans in Europe and the US.

The duo, Singateh and Mam Balla, are households names in the Gambia's music scene. They believe this upcoming tour will further expose them as well as avail them the opportunity to make contact with producers, artistes, and movers and shakers in the world music scene.

Slated for March 2013, the tour will avail Singateh the opportunity to promote his latest 'Mansakay' album in Europe's music bastions notably- Spain, Netherlands, Germany, Italy and France. The duo will then proceed to the US, where a similar promotional tour is expected to continue.

Speaking to What's On, Singateh disclosed previous tours were successful and expressed optimism that this 2013 tour will even register more. As a follow-up to previous tours, Singateh expressed optimism that this tour will avail them the opportunity to collaborate with different artistes and producers as well as shoot new videos. "We are reaching out to our fans i.e. Gambian and non-Gambians alike who are really anticipating and looking forward to this tour. That's why we are staring earlier so as to cover more destinations," he added.

Mam Balla thanked all his fans in The Gambia and all over the world for their support over the years. He explained that the upcoming tour means a lot for him and that him and his brother (Singateh) are both from Senegambia. "It's an integration of Senegal and Gambia and I want to tell fans that I'm back home in the Gambia," he said.
