Kenya: Two Suspected Poachers Killed in Crackdown

A joint team of KWS wardens and regular police killed two suspected poachers at Mlango in Isiolo yesterday. Eight pieces of ivory, a G3 rifle and 12 bullets were found.

Isiolo police boss Daniel Kamanza said the poachers left behind torches, weighing scale and an axe A senior warden Paul Kipkoech said the team has launched an operation to flush out the bandits.

Last week, security officers arrested a suspect who was leaking vital information on white Rhinos location and the movement of the officers. Kamanza appealed for information from wananchi that will lead to the arrest of poachers.
