Kenya: Monda Sunk Empty Boreholes, Claims Aspirant

Nyaribari Chache MP Robert Monda was yesterday accused of using CDF funds to sink boreholes which do not have water. Ben Mogaka who is vying for a parliamentary seat said it is unfortunate for Monda to deceive the people by sinking empty boreholes.

"The MP should tell you why he has used millions of CDF funds to sink boreholes which have no water," said Mogaka. "He should have used the money to connect piped water from Kegati."

Mogaka singled out Taracha, Nyanguru, Kirwa and Ritaro boreholes which were sank last year, but never produced water. He was speaking in his constituency.

Speaking in the constituency during a series of campaign rallies, Mogaka told the voters to vote for change saying bad leadership has left the constituency lag behind in development.
