Angola: Fishermen Catch Over Three Tones in Quipungo Municipality

Quipungo — Over three tons of fish were caught in rivers of Quipungo Municipality, Southern Huila province, throughout 2012, by associated fishermen andco-operatives that benefited from support of the State, Angop has learnt.

The head of the municipal department of agriculture and fisheries, Pascoal Simão, said the catch was done by three co-operatives and some individual fishermen that with their activity have contributed a lot for the improvement of the diet of the local population.This was only possible due to the assistance of the Executive through granting of boats, nets and other equipments.
