Zimbabwe: Gordon Chavunduka Dies

Reports say traditional healer Professor Gordon Chavunduka died Friday afternoon in Harare after a short illness. Mourners are gathered at his Mount Pleasant home on The Chase.

Gordon Chavunduka served as a member of Abel Muzorewa's delegation to the Lancaster House Conference in 1979. He was the vice chancellor of the UZ from 1992 - 1996 and after his retirement served as the president of the Zimbabwe National Healers Association. He also published several books on traditional medicine.
