Angola: President Appoints Angop Chairperson

Luanda — Angolan head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos Friday nominated Daniel Miguel George as chairperson of the Board of Directors of the State-run Angolan News Agency (ANGOP, EP)

This is expressed in a press release from the Civil Office of the President of Republic.

In Presidential decree, the Statesman dismissed Daniel Miguel George from the post of Administrator for Technical, Expansion and Modernisation of ANGOP, having appointed to this post Manuel Luzito André.

In the same decree, the President of the Republic appointed José Chimuco as Executive director for information of ANGOP.

Jose Eduardo dos Santos also named Bidima Manteya Jorge to the post of Administrator for Finance of the State-owned Public Television (TPA).
