Huambo — Some 271 tons of fertilizers were distributed since the beginning of the agricultural campaign to peasants in the central Huambo province.

The fertilizers were handed out by the local Rural Development Station (EDA), aimed to encourage the expansion of the cultivation and productivity areas in the current agricultural season.

This information was said to the press on Friday by the official in charge of EDA in Huambo, Irene Sonjomba.

She said that in the current campaign, it was also distributed 15 tons of seeds of maize and 300 limestone for the correction of the soils.
