Angola: Artists Social Condition At UNAC Round Table

Luanda — The National Association of Artists and Song Writers (UNAC) will run a round table on Tuesday next week in Luanda to discuss the current "social condition of its members, causes and reflections, paths and perspectives."

The information was released by UNAC secretary general, Belmiro Carlos, on Friday in Luanda.

According to the official, the purpose of the meeting is to prepare a "cocktail" that leads to a plural debate capable of producing contributions to reverse the artists' social condition.

Belmiro Carlos said the meeting was triggered by the fact that in the year 2012 alone, 20 artists passed away, most of them living in appalling social condition.
