Negotiation between GFA and Gamtel/Gamcel is set to wrap up on Saturday over the sponsorship of the Gambia domestic league.
The talks are at a tense level, and an insider close to the board disclosed to this outlet that a deal is 'expected' to be brokered over the weekend after negotiation kicked off last weekend.
Start of the 2013 league championship has been deferred as a result of sponsorship matters. Outcome of the meeting is to be communicated to clubs and affiliates of GFA shortly after the meeting via a dispatch, a source who was part of the talks disclosed, under anonymity.
The league was set to officially tee off 28th December before it was pushed to January 5th after a behind-closed-door session among delegates and later unanimously fixed for January 19th.
"A decision is to be reached on Saturday" GFA media liaison officer Bakary B. Baldeh confirms to Foroyaa Sports.
Should a deal be penned, it is to benefit all parties within the Gambian football circle, the Normalisation Committee says.
