Rwanda: More Eliminated From Dundastar Competition

Pacifique, John Lee and Machinal, all solo dancers, were, on Thursday, eliminated from the on-going Dundastar talent search which took place at Rainbow Hotel in Kicukiro.

Dundastar is currently at the elimination stage.

This elimination took place after a live performance carried out under the themes "Happy Holidays" and "Current Hits." This was during an event that took place at Rainbow Hotel.

Lucky Family, a dancing group, was eliminated, leaving only three dance groups in the competition.

Only seven solo musicians out of the twelve remain, as do four dance groups. Organisers say that the competition has reached a tight stage.

In an interview with Saturday New Times, Robert Ndungutse, one of the organisers, said, "We are sure that we shall get the best out of the remaining contestants as it is becoming a challenge to get the best each other day."

For the next performance, scheduled January 18, the theme is 'Oldies'. The song selection is from the 70's, 80's and the 90's. They will take place at Rainbow Hotel once again, and doors will open at 6.30pm. Entrance fee will be Frw1000 and Frw2000 for everyone else.
