Rwanda: Nsengiyumva Names Final Team for AYC

The national youth volleyball boys team coach Jean Marie Nsengiyumva has named the final team to represent Rwanda at the 2013 Africa Youth CAVB Championship.

The 12-player team is scheduled to leave Kigali on Tuesday for the continental championship set for January 21-31 in Algeria.

Rwanda automatically qualified for the event after regional teams withdrew from the Zone V qualifiers in Kigali this month.

Nsengiyumva, also the head coach for national league side Kigali Volleyball Club has set his young troops the targetof a top four finish.

"We will go there with calm heads as we have a lot to gain and nothing to lose, and if we can finish in the top four, it will be a success story for us," he told Times Sport recently.

He added, "I am optimistic about our chances to do well because we have prepared very well in the last few weeks and the boys have been gaining confidence by the day."
